How the Cosmetics Develop Recently?

During the 20th century, the popularity of cosmetics increased rapidly. Cosmetics are increasingly used by girls at a young age, especially in the United States. At the same time, more and more Chinese people begin to accept the cosmetics day after day.

Due to the fast-decreasing age of make-up users, many companies, from high-street brands like Rimmel to higher-end products like Estee Lauder, cater to this expanding market by introducing flavored lipsticks and glosses, cosmetics packaged in glittery, sparkly packaging and marketing and advertising using young models. The social consequences of both younger and younger cosmetics had much attention in the media over the last few years.

Criticism of cosmetics has come from a wide variety of sources including some feminists, religious groups, animal rights activists, authors, and public interest groups. In the United States, cosmetic products are regulated by the FDA following the FD&C Act section 201. According to these regulations it is illegal to sell unsafe cosmetic products. The EU and other regulatory agencies around the world have similar regulations. The FDA does not have to approve or review cosmetics, or what goes in them, before they are sold to the consumers. The FDA only regulates against the colors that can be used in the cosmetics and hair dyes. The cosmetic companies do not have to report any injuries from the products; they also only have voluntary recalls of products.

There has been a marketing trend towards the sale of cosmetics lacking controversial ingredients, especially those derived from petroleum, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), and parabens. Numerous reports have raised concern over the safety of a few surfactants, including 2-butoxyethanol. SLS causes a number of skin problems, including dermatitis. Parabens can cause skin irritation and contact dermatitis in individuals with paraben allergies, a small percentage of the general population. Animal experiments have shown that parabens have a weak estrogenic activity, acting as xenoestrogens. In 2013, the EU’s Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) reviewed the latest safety data on parabens and declared them to be harmless at the levels used in cosmetics.

So my friends, do you like the cosmetics? Will you use the cosmetics?

Cosmetic Industry and Modern Beauty Industry

We never know how world will look like for world keeps changing, but there is one thing that will never change. That is cosmetic. We have no idea how the relationship between cosmetic industry and modern beauty industry it is, we can only affirm that cosmetic does have a very long history from its first birth in the world.

The cosmetics do affect the world. The manufacture of cosmetics is currently dominated by a small number of multinational corporations that originated in the early 20th century, but the distribution and sale of cosmetics is spread among a wide range of different businesses. The world’s largest cosmetic companies are The Loral Group, The Procter and Gamble Company, Unilever, Shiseido Company, Limited and Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. The market volume of the cosmetics industry in the US, Europe, and Japan is about EUR 70B/y, according to a 2005 publication. In the United States, the cosmetic industry’s size was US$42.8 billion in 2008.

In Germany, the cosmetic industry generated €12.6 billion of retail sales in 2008, which makes the German cosmetic industry the third largest in the world, after Japan and the United States. It has been shown that in Germany this industry grew nearly 5 percent in one year, from 2007 to 2008. German exports in this industry reached €5.8 billion in 2008, whereas imports of cosmetics totaled €3 billion. The main countries that export cosmetics to Germany are France, Switzerland, the United States and Italy, and they mainly consist of makeup and fragrances or perfumes for women.

The worldwide cosmetics and perfume industry currently generates an estimated annual turnover of US$170 billion. Europe is the leading market, representing approximately €63 billion, while sales in France reached €6.5 billion in 2006, according to FIPAR – the French federation for the perfume industry. France is another country in which the cosmetic industry plays an important role, both nationally and internationally. Most products with a label, “Made in France” are valued on the international market. According to data from 2008, the cosmetic industry has grown constantly in France for 40 consecutive years. In 2006, this industrial sector reached a record level of €6.5 billion. Famous cosmetic brands produced in France include Vichy, Yves Saint Laurent, Yves Rocher and many others.

Since the fast development of the cosmetics industry, we do have a reason to believe that the modern beauty industry will have a better progress in the future.

How to Protect Your Skin under the Sunlight?

Nowadays, people prefer to go out or participant in the outdoor activities after work. Happy thing as the outdoor activity will be, our skin is always hurt or burnt by the sunlight. Thus, even though we have a good time at bench, mountain or sight, our outlook is affected to a certain degree, which is definitely not so worthwhile. Then, we need to pay attention to the skin protection.

Sun protection is an important aspect of skin care. The sun can cause extreme damage to the skin, not only in the form of sunburns and skin cancer; exposure to UVA and UVB radiation can cause patches of uneven skin tone and dry out the skin, reducing its elasticity and encouraging sagging and wrinkle formation. In addition, sunlight is harm to kids and the sick people. As a young girl, we especially need to focus on such issues.

It is important to make use of sunscreen or cosmetics to protect the skin from sun damage; sunscreen should be applied at least 20 minutes before exposure, and should be re-applied every four hours. Sunscreen should be applied to all areas of the skin that will be exposed to sunlight, and at least a tablespoon (25 ml) should be applied to each limb, the face, chest, and back, to ensure thorough coverage. Many tinted moisturizers, foundations and primers now contain some form of SPF. For cosmetics, we can avoid the direct light from sun and protect us effectively.

Sunscreens may come in the form of creams, gels or lotions; their SPF number indicates their effectiveness in protecting the skin from the sun’s radiation. There are sunscreens available to suit every skin type; in particular, those with oily skin should choose some different sunscreens; those with dry skins should choose sunscreens with moisturizers to help keep skin hydrated, and those with sensitive skin should choose unscented, hypoallergenic sunscreen and spot-test in an inconspicuous place such as the inside of the elbow or behind the ear to ensure that it does not irritate the skin.

Now you know how important it is to protect your skin and how to protect it. Go and tell your friends or do it yourself.

How to Defeat Acne? Choose Right Cosmetics!

One day, my girlfriend came to see me and showed me that her face grew with some acne. And she cried that she would not hang out with me this weekend unless all the acne was terminated. Then I went to see the book and found how to defeat acne, soon I got it, we need to choose right cosmetics!

As we all know, acne is a common skin condition which occurs at any time when skin pores become clogged and bacteria settle in, causing the pores to become infected. Several factors can contribute to developing acne such as oily skin, hormones, diet, skin care products, and even your skin care routine. Acne is treatable and even prevented by changing the lifestyle and diet in our everyday routine, and applying the right skin care products or cosmetics.

Then I introduced some general skin care routines to her. I told her, cleansing is the first essential step to any daily skin care routine. Cleansers are generally applied to wet skin over the face and sometimes also the neck, avoiding the eyes and lips. Cleansing the face once per day is typically adequate for normal or dry skins. However, a mild cleanser should also be used at night if makeup has been worn to remove any excess dirt or oil. Oily skins should be cleansed more frequently, at least twice per day. Water-based, gentle cleansers are ideal for all skin types, though particularly acne-prone skin may require medicated cleansers containing particular peroxide or salicylic acid to discourage acne. If the first step cannot be carried, then we had better not use the cosmetics or any other products.

Moreover, soap can also be used as a cleanser, it should be avoided in cases of dry and sensitive skins; many alternatives are available. Oil-based cleansers have become particularly popular with oily skin, as they are very gentle and do not over-dry the skin, but still effectively remove dirt and makeup. It is important to cleanse before applying makeup, regardless of skin type, as this helps to create a clean surface for makeup application. Many cleansers are also suitable for use as a makeup remover, but proper makeup remover is preferable, particularly for the removal of eye makeup.

Heard of this, my girlfriend became bright in her face and gave a big kiss. Hope anyone who see this tips can follow my way and give your intimate a new surprise.

What is the Difference between Cosmetics and Masks?

Actually, most people cannot tell the difference between cosmetics and masks. Sure, we mean not the outlook of them, but their specific function. In fact, face masks are treatments applied to the skin for a period of time then removed while cosmetics have distinct usage. Typically, they are applied to a dry, cleansed face, avoiding the eyes and lips.

Here we mainly introduce the face masks to humans. There are many kinds of face masks nowadays, which typically fall into one or more of the following categories. Firstly, clay-based masks use kaolin clay or fuller’s earth to transport essential oils and chemicals to the skin, and are typically left on until completely dry. As the clay dries, it absorbs excess oil and dirt from the surface of the skin and may help to clear blocked pores or draw comedies to the surface. Because of its drying actions, clay-based masks should only be used on oily skins.

For cosmetics, it is totally different. Peel masks are typically gel-like in consistency, and contain various acids or exfoliating agents to help exfoliate the skin, along with other ingredients to hydrate, discourage wrinkles, or treat uneven skin tone. They are also left on to dry, and then gently peeled off. They should be avoided by people with dry skin, as they also tend to be very drying. At the same time, cosmetics can also come true such use.

There are another kind of masks that’s loved by people, sheet mask. It is relatively a new product that is becoming extremely popular in Asia. Sheet masks consist of a thin cotton or fiber sheet with holes cut out for the eyes and lips and cut to fit the contours of the face, onto which serums and skin treatments are brushed in a thin layer; the sheets may also be soaked in the treatment. Masks are available to suit almost all skin types and skin complaints. Sheet masks are quicker, less messy, and require no specialized knowledge or equipment for their use compared to other types of face masks, but they may be difficult to find and purchase outside Asia. Technically speaking, cosmetics do better than the sheet masks.

Now, are you clear with the difference between the mask and the cosmetic? On the way of becoming beautiful, be a smart one and choose right product.
